According to Taylor-Joy, this relocation was difficult and she was unable to study English in the hopes of returning to Argentina. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she studied ballet and acted in school productions. She quit the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting career. Taylor-Joy's dream to be an actor of professional caliber started at a young age.
